Eun Yoo sticking with Eun Gyeol because she thinks he might be the boy from her mom’s stories (and also just because he makes her heart flutter). Eun Yoo finding him “so magnetic, it was almost obnoxious” and vice versa. That resigned attitude of let’s be together for now, forget the fact that we’ll be pulled apart later? Yep, this song is them. Even down to the people who called on unmarked numbers.

Eun Yoo falling in with Eun Gyeol’s family and finding joy for the first time in so so long… But the only reason she’s there and playing along is so she can erase herself from existence at the same time that Eun Gyeol is trying to make things better for his family!!! Also just their personalities. He literally is a ray of sunshine and she’s absolutely midnight rain.

Twinkling Watermelon episode 12 is kinda bonkers

first of all, Eunyoo and Eungyeol not realizing they're both from the future is starting to piss me off like it's TIME. how did he listen to her say they're from different worlds, she doesn't know how to leave, and she's trying to help her parents AFTER she refrenced SQUID GAME, and he still has no clue?? i'm also PLEADING ANYONE to connect the dots about Eungyeol calling Yichan his dad, Chungah his mom, and Sekyung "ajumma". two 18 year olds are falling in love with people they think are 46 years old right now, i need someone to stop this madness 😭

ntm WHAT IS HAPPENING to Chungah right now ??? i know why she's upset, but wtf is going on with her plot? her dad's whole "make her smile at me" mission seems so completely removed from the rest of the plot, and i'm completely lost about where the weird power dynamic between him and his wife is going. i have a suspicion the writers made Chungah suddenly blow up at Yichan so he can miss her and realize he wants her back (?), but it feels pretty random to me that she suddenly yelled at him like that 💀 anyways, i hope all of this confusion means more time spent on Chungah's plot in the next episodes

I totally get what you said about Eun Gyeol and Se Kyeong, and I actually have this mental image that I may or may not end up using in the final story where Eun Yoo is looking at Eun Gyeol while he’s looking at Se Kyeong and having all these thoughts and feelings like aah I used to love her, actually I still do, but it’s been so long for her and I’m happy she’s happy I’m happy she’s married and her life changed but it still is a little heartbreaking (Alexa play “This Is How It Feels” by d4vd) and meanwhile he hasn’t seen Eun Yoo yet and she’s just short circuiting because HA EUN GYEOL??? IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2023???

Finally read this and I- AHHHHHH!!!!

BAHAHAHAHHA, I love how his initial reaction is “Choi Sekyeong” because he’s literally traumatized by the advanced Eun Yoo made, even when in canon, he easily switches to Eun Yoo. Lovely homage to how he’s just an idiot sometimes.

And okayyy Eungyeol and Eun Yoo… 😳 That fan service line had me cracking up, oh my; Eun Ho is still a menace and it’s so funny.

CHEONGCHAN ALL DOMESTIC, SO CUTE AHHH! And I’m glad you highlighted Cheongah and Eun Yoo’s friendship because I was really fond of it 😭 also cause I’ve always been curious as to how she would react to seeing Eun Yoo look to similar to Sekyeong.

Ahhhh, I’m so excited to see what’s next! I wonder how Se Kyeong is going to react to all of the memories that she wasn’t a part of (unless that’s not discussed but idk). Just excited for the next chaoter!

Helow, I have a question, will there be an event for Yoo Hansol/Yoo Eungyeol's 253 birthday? Because July 30 is his b-day and Com2us is not having any updates yet. If its alright can you atleast a rate from 1/10 if there gonna make an event. Thank You🌸

There won't be any new events from this point on, and no one knows except Com2uS themselves what's going in store for Wannabe Challenge in the future.

yooha's name got changed from ha hyun to yooha in the eng translation to make it easier for mc to accidentally call out his name

but how tf did they go from yoo eungyeol to yoo hansol. i get that maybe some players would have a hard time pronouncing his name but they literally say his name a bunch of times every few chapters or so. the pronunciation's bound to stick to the players at some point right??

plus eungyeol kinda fits him better than hansol imo

🥹Love Cheongah’s little teasing moment - we rarely see her like that! Eun Yoo calling her unnie? Grahhhhh, the nod to their friendship - THIS IS WHY I NEEDED THEM TO REMEMBER EACH OTHER!!!

He watches after his dad in awe for a moment — still not quite used to the peace and quiet joy he radiates these days — before he feels Eun Yoo resting her chin on his shoulder. I CRY I LOVE THIS LINE SO MUCH!!! HE WENT THROUGH SO MUCH AND NOW HE GETS TO ENJOY IT ALL, AND IT MUST HAVE BEEN HARD! Just encapsulates everything 😭

“Well…” She smiles. “Always. But tonight I think there’s a little extra of it going around.”

I CRY AGAIN 😭😭😭 this was beautiful, and I love how they remember each other, and the happiness that everyone has after their lives have changed for the better. Eungyeol deserves all the praise, and so does your writing for making me tear up 😡

“Ahjussi,” Eun Yoo ventures, waving for his atention. ‘Can I ask you something?’

‘Of course.’

‘Do you… remember Eun Gyeol’s voice?’

Yichan seems a bit taken aback by the question, and Eun Yoo wonders for a moment if she’s made a mistake.

But he purses his lips, closes his eyes, bows his head a bit. He thinks it over and finally, looking up, slowly answers, ‘Well, it has been 28 years. So if you ask me to remember it right now, I can’t imagine it.’

She nods, sipping on her raspberry lemonade. “Hmm.”

‘But that doesn’t matter, you know. I don’t need to know what he sounds like to…’

‘To be proud of him?’

‘Well, yes, that, but— This is something Cheong-ah taught me back in high school. I didn’t fully understand what she meant back then, but I do now. Even when you can’t hear someone’s voice, you can… see it. Feel it. Especially when it’s someone you love. So I see my son on stage and… it’s almost like I can hear him. I can see how he shines.’

“Oh, Mr. Ha.” Eun Yoo smiles, the beginnings of tears forming in her eyes. ‘That’s beautiful.’

He smiles, a bit bashful, and turns to his wife, realizing she’s been watching their conversation.

Cheong-ah grins at the two of them. ‘Has he been stealing my words?’ she signs with a wink to Eun Yoo.

‘Don’t worry, unnie. He credited you properly.’

They laugh together, and then Eun Yoo glances toward the entrance of the restaurant for the fourth or fifth time this evening. This time, however, she’s pleasantly surprised to see Eun Gyeol and his bandmates walking through the door.

With the brightest of smiles, she calls to him. “Jagiya, you’re here!”

He returns the smile and walks over after signaling to the hyungs.

“Hello, love,” he greets Eun Yoo, kissing her forehead, then turning to her parents with a small bow, “Mr. On, Ms. Choi. I’m sorry we’re late.”

They return the gesture, and the rest of the formalities are exchanged, seats taken and drinks ordered.

“What took you all so long?” Eun Yoo whispers to Eun Gyeol once he’s settled down next to her.

“I’m sorry. Dong Jin held us back to talk about our performance.”

“Oh? He wasn’t critical, I hope? You all did amazing.”

“No, no. Just encouragement.”

“Good,” she approves, patting his knee. ‘Mr. Ha, wasn’t Eun Gyeol incredible tonight?’

‘Stellar,’ agrees Yichan, making his son smile bashfully.

‘Thank you. I mean, it was just a few songs.’

‘Too few, if you ask me,’ signs his girlfriend. ‘I could have watched you up there for twice as long.’

He laughs. ‘Nonsense. I’m sure everyone else couldn’t wait for us to get off the stage.’

Eun Yoo gasps. ‘Bite your tongue. Everyone was enthralled. I know, they told me so themselves.’

‘I’d have to second that,’ puts in Yichan. ‘Even I could feel the energy in the room. They loved you.’

“Especially the girls,” adds Eun Yoo, leaning in to playfully poke Eun Gyeol’s cheek. “I do think some of them were eyeing my boyfriend a little too closely.”

“Stop it,” he giggles, cheeks turning a deep pink. “My dad is right here.”

“And?” She turns to Yichan. ‘You don’t mind, do you, Mr. Ha?’

‘Not at all,’ he answers with a fond chuckle.

‘He knows he did a great job with you, doesn’t he?’

‘Oh, some of my best work,’ he tells them with a very serious nod.

‘Your magnum opus.’ She separates herself from Eun Gyeol to lean across the table and look more closely at Mr. Ha. ‘Thank you for raising him into such a wonderful person, ahjussi. I don’t know where I’d be if you hadn’t.’

‘Oh…’ He gives a gentle chuckle, looking away for a moment. ‘After everything, I don’t know where we’d be without him, either. But be careful, young lady. You’re going to make me tear up before the food even gets here.’

Eun Yoo smiles, leaning back in her seat. ‘That’s fair. I’ll save the rest of my praises for the dessert.’

Yichan nods in agreement just as Cheong-ah touches his arm to get his attention. He turns to rejoin the conversation with Eun Yoo’s parents, but not before reaching over and giving his son’s hand a reassuring squeeze, and Eun Gyeol finds his eyes have turned a little misty, witnessing this exchange between his girlfriend and his father. He watches after his dad in awe for a moment — still not quite used to the peace and quiet joy he radiates these days — before he feels Eun Yoo resting her chin on his shoulder.

“Just accept this, Ha Eun Gyeol,” she whispers, peering up at him through her lashes. “You are… very loved tonight.”

He laughs, trying to lighten the mood back up. “Just tonight?”

“Well…” She smiles. “Always. But tonight I think there’s a little extra of it going around.”

Yesss that’d definitely be toward the end of the story, when the truth all comes out 😂 then Eun Gyeol gets swept away in a crowd or something and Eun Yoo goes to look for him all dramatically ✨

I’ve thought of this too!!! And the thing is that Se Kyeong probably would recognize him as her dad’s student (bc even in the new timeline he has Mr. Choi’s guitar and someone had to give it to him right?) so he’d walk up and she’d be like “oh Ha Eun Gyeol :D” and his whole life would flash before his eyes and then she’d start talking to him yk like a kid and he’d be super confused and then realize she only knows him from the guitar thing and then he would go cry in his room about it 💀
